Two of New York Citys premiere musical institutions partner after more than a twenty year hiatus on Friday, October 8. That evening, The Walter W. Naumburg Foundation and Town Hall will celebrate fifty years of chamber music with a gala concert in Town Hall featuring some of todays most esteemed chamber music artists, all Naumburg winners, performing. On the program will be the American, Brentano, Emerson, Pacifica and Telegraph String Quartets; the esteemed Grammy-winning chamber ensemble Eighth Blackbird with Soprano Dawn Upshaw; Clarinetist Charles Neidich and Pianist Anton Nel. The renowned composer John Corigliano and Naumburg President Nicholas Mann will be giving remarks.
